On Mi 8 with Xiaomi.eu stable version when a new version is available to be downloaded from sourceforge or androidfilehost web sites, the Download button from Updater application doesn't download the packages, it is displayed the message:
You are up to date or there is a server issue, check xiaomi.eu for a new version!

This is reproduced on all versions tested from November 2018 till today.

Actually this is an old issue, on Mi 8 the OTA download doesn't work for stable versions.
The issue was reported on a thread from Mi 8 subforum from December 1st, 2018: OTA-update doesn't work for me.

The update can be made manually by downloading locally the zip file.

Sorry for inconvenience, I managed to fix it of course. New stable will include fixed Updater.
For future assistance please PM me cause I do not really follow stable channel, I focus on dev one more.

@ZduneX25 , I can confirm that the original issue is fixed.
So the topic can be marked as: Solved / Fixed
An hour ago I was able to download and install the latest available update package using Updater application.

Was necessary to long press on Download button and after a few seconds the download process has started.

Once download process completed I chossed Install, phone restarted into TWRP, but the update script didn't start.

I restarted the phone, I launched Updater application again, on that time the button was labeled Install, so I press it. The phone restarted again on TWRP and the update script was started properly, automatically.
I'm not sure that this is a common issue with my installed TWRP.
I have TWRP-3.2.3-1208 for MI 8.

I reopen this issue.

Sorry @ZduneX25 to tagging you, I'm not sure if you are still developing this feature, but seems the Update tool have same issue in latest releases.
I repeat is about stable releases.
Currently I have on my Mi 8 phone V11.0.3.0 and online appear as from 11 hours ago a new version: V11.0.4.0 (link)
If I press on the "Check for updates" button, on screen appear the message: "You are up to date!"

Is anything that I can do to track this issue?

Can you go to installed app list and tell me Updater app version? Thanks.

The application version is 9.2

Later edit

1. I upload the logcat file (archived into 7z file with a fake txt extenstion to be uploaded)
2. If you want and have time, can you upload/provide a test version of the Updater app to check if is working? (I can replace the existing app via twrp?)
