Mi 9 running updated MIUI Global 12.0.4.
My phone cannot find streaming destinations. Google Home can find and connect with our Chromecast. But that is it.
Apps like Spotify, YouTube, HBO and Disney+ cannot find our Chromecast or our Bluesound players. Either the devices do not show up, or the menu (cast button) is missing. I have seen the options for casting/streaming come back once, only to dissappear again a little later.
Our Apple devices can all find Chromecast and players. I can see that Chromecast and players are all connected to our access point (Unifi).
As my own phone can find and connect to our Chromecast using Google Home, I believe that the problem I am experiencing is related to software: either Android in general or MIUI in particular. As I have recently updated my phone (always stock) I am inclined to believe that it may be a (rare?) bug.
Has anyone else experienced this before? Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks.
