No you will need to flash TWRP, do some careful research here, on XDA forums & follow all the instructions properly before you do anything.

As I don't have a Mi Mix maybe ask @Kostas_F if you don't understand anything regarding flashing TWRP on a Mi Mix.

I unlocked mi5s plus with stable global. It was no need to flash chinese rom to unlick bootloader. Newer devices can be unlocked from any original rom. You must did mistake somewhere..

Yes... but he more than likely has a Vendor ROM & that won't work.

You won't have Google Play Store & it will most likely have some Chinese language in menus along with China apps etc.

There are some guides for installing Play Store around though I don't know how successful they are.

If you are not confident enough to install TWRP then stay on the ROM you have...

But really it's not too difficult to install TWRP & flash the Xiaomi.eu ROM but it requires a bit of careful reading & the following of steps correctly.

No you can't flash Xiaomi.eu ROM with a locked bootloader.

The only way to flash Xiaomi.eu ROM is with TWRP recovery & for that to happen you need to unlock the bootloader.

So the process is:
1)Unlock bootloader
2)Flash TWRP via ADB
3)Flash Xiaomi.eu ROM with TWRP

Part 3 (flashing the Chinese ROM with Mi Flash)

I'm assuming you have a Windows PC?

(As a side note)
After flashing the Xiaomi.eu ROM you will need to flash the RC2 version of TWRP because of a touchscreen issue:

Most likely not, they use EDL or some other methods I'm not certain.

Go to System/About Phone/Tap Kernel Version 5 times.
Then have a look for the below:

i used miflash app and after putting the phone in fastboot mode it is like this.
looks like miflash can see the phone. i am quite confused now...should i proceed with miflash for flashing an official rom? i dont want to brick the phone...

It looks okay to me.

As long as you are following Part 3 & make sure you have downloaded the correct ROM you will be fine.

everything there starts with an unlocked BL... mine is locked... i have permission to unlock but mi unlock app stucks at 50% saying that couldn't verify the phone
