Mi Note Pro: Complete Beginners Guide

Hello Friend
After I follow Q17 and every thing is successful
and the phone become like new with only English and Chinese language
And MIUI version 7 5.11.26 | Beta
Is my phone unlock now and I can install any Roms ?
Please help me what to do after that ?
Thanks
Yes your phone is unlock you can install any ROM but first install twrp https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24421527759888160
to install twrp for me the easy way is
Unpack this zip and you will find an IMG file rename o twrp (to be easy) and Copy it to Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder

Power off your device and turn it back on Fastboot mode
In command prompt, go to your folder where your ADB/Fastboot are, assuming they are in C:\Fastboot, you type

> cd C:\Fastboot
> C:

Once in the "C:\Fastboot" folder, you will need to issue a chain of commands to flash critical images, so type:

C:\Fastboot>fastboot devices
C:\Fastboot>fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
C:\Fastboot>fastboot reboot

Done

to install rom Donwload the LEO rom you want from xiaomi.eu, copy to internal memory
then in recovery wipe, if you do a manual wipe do not in any case tick the box wipe internal sdcard install the rom and reboot. Done

Hi there.

So I bought the Mi Note Pro with V7.2.4.0.LXHCNDA (MIUI7). Just requested the unlocking a few days ago via - en miui com unlock/ - Is this right or should I follow your guide to unlock it?

Thanks.

Hi!

I just got my Mi Note Pro. Is this guide still up-to-date (including all the files to download)?

Thanks so much for this guide!!!!!
Yes, to the best of our knowledge and belief, this guide is pretty much up to date including all instructions and links.

Should you find anything where it's not the case, please let me know and I will do my best to make relevant updates.

You're most welcome !

You could do both ways, depending on what your final goal is.

My goal is to install the EU ROM and get rid of all the Chinese content.

I'm new to android. Should I wait for the unlock via miui or could I follow this guide to unlock the bootloader and flash the EU ROM?

Thanks.

Totally up to you. If you don't mind waiting up to several weeks (Xiaomi are not always rapid with getting back to people) then wait for the code. If you're interested to do it faster while getting some extra Android experience - consider using the guide and doing it yourself.

Hi ! I come to #15 type fastboot boot twrp.img and then it says "cannot load twrp.img : no such file or directory" i have downloaded and extracted and putted the img-file into the Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder. Anyone who can give me a hint ?

Check that the TWRP file you extracted and placed into the minimal ADB/Fastboot directory is indeed called twrp.img

Could you running the

dir

command and post a screen shot of the output here?

We need you to run the

dir

command in that ADB/Fastboot directory and post the screen shot.

Detta är bättre

Ok, this is what I suspected - you did not put the twrp.img to your ADB/Fastboot directory.

1. You need to copy twrp.img to your C:\Program Files(x86)\Minimal Adb and Fastboot directory first.
2. Then you need to run fastboot boot twrp.imp

now problem with twrp program. can you look at this screen and see if somethings wrong

Looks like you are getting file names in the console wrong again. In this case, you are requesting your computer to sideload the file without providing the correct file name. Therefore the system can't fnd the file and thinks it doesn't exist.

Make sure files you are trying to load exist in the ADB/Fastboot directory and you are typing their full and correct names. In this case, type:

adb sideload xiaomi.eu_multi_leo_V7.2.4.0.LXHCNDA_v7-5.1.zip
