Mi pad 4

Hello everyone, I have had a mi pad 4 for some time now that I have bought on a trip to china. I currently live in Europe and I'd like to know if there is a way to change it's ROM to a european one without risking to destroy my tablet. I haven't done something similar in the past but a friend suggested i should check here to find a solution. Any help appreciated!

Because Xiaomi ist not updating the MiPad 4 plus anymore I changed to LineageOS. Version 17 comes with Android 10 and runs very stable. Version 18 is Android 11 and also looks good.
Just google "MiPad 4 Plus LineageOS 18" and you will find very good instructions how to unlock bootloader, install TWRP, and finally install a new ROM.
