I'm having a similar problem, with the projector's led blinking for a while with no image showing and then shutting down. Turning it on for a second time, it showed the green background and then turned off again.

After a few attempts using the button and also the remote, it finally showed the Mi logo and from that point it started normally.

Yes, I solved the problem. the imaging chip has been damaged, the projector is working properly after replacing the chip. The repair cost approximately € 100.

Hi @megy12, how did you find the chip replacement? I am in Spain and I cant get the official support to fix it. I am havinf the same problem like yours...
