Mi Unlock SMS Verification unable to receive code

Good Day! I was wondering has anyone encountered this issue and is there any fix to it? I was planning to move back to MIUI 14 because of HyperOS cooking my phone like literally destroying my phone's battery consumption and overheating issues. But, I cannot proceed to the Mi Unlock Tool because it's asking for a recovery phone no. but I cannot receive any code at all? Hoping for any solutions and fix for this. Thank you in advance.

I believe you can enter your Mi ID instead?

If you click on the country code bit I think you can X to make it read your ID instead

Get it off your device section and make sure there's no country code. That's how I got identified

Unless your phone is blocking their texts, that isn't solvable. So try that.
