Hi everyone,
after waiting 7 days to unlock my bootloader, today was the day. But after sucessfully unlock and flash twrp i run into a problem.

My Phone: MI10t Pro (M2007J3SG)
TWRP: twrp-3.5.1.A10-apollo-geoanto555
Current Rom: lineage-18.1-20210731-nightly-apollon-signed

Whats happen here?

The last Stable Rom has the ROM name "MI10TPro"

38095

But in Weekly the apollopro was removed and in device now "HMK30SUltra_MI10T "
38096

If search for the last apollopro rom i found one from 2020...

38097

So for my phone, should i install the Mi10TPro or HMK30SUltra_MI10T?

I tied to install the latest weekly HMK30SUltra_MI10T and the latest stable.

On booth i got an installation error...

Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file /sdcard/PATH TO ZIP FILE"

38098

Google says to twrp error 7:
"Status 7 Error is caused when the ROM’s updater script file checks to see if our mobile is compatible with the ROM we are installing, called “asserts” "

So the validation for my phone break the script... someone an idea whats wrong here?

After this fails, i tried the old version from 2020 and i run into the same problem...

I have no idea what i doing wrong and i hope really samone can help me.

Hello,

Firstly, I will thank you because you gave all important info (device/ROM/TWRP) and your post is nicely written. :)

Then, for answering your questions:

- About "Mi10TPro" ROMs by Xiaomi.eu => These are outdated/deprecated and you should use "HMK30SUltra_MI10T" ROMs now.

- "Error 7" is a generic error code when installing zip in TWRP so it can be related to anything...

Try this to fix your issue:

1) Go in "Wipe" menu of TWRP => Tap "Format Data" button => Type ' yes ' to confirm => After format, go back to main TWRP menu.

2) Go in "Reboot" menu of TWRP => Tap "Recovery" button.

3) After reboot, redo step 2).

4) Install the ROM now.

You can try to redo all steps at least 2 or 3 times if it's not working.

Please feedback if it's ok or not.

;)

ok thx @Poney70 now i sucessfully installed the latest weekly ROM.
But i run in an another problem.

Now i always landed in TWRP / Recovery - rom dosen't boot

My Workflow:
1. Format Data reboot Recovery and do it again.
2. copy latest ROM.zip to sdcard
3. install rom
4. Wipe Dalvik / ART Cache and Cache
5. Reboot in Recovery
6. Format Data
7. Reboot to System -> and again in Recovery

ok thx @Poney70 now i sucessfully installed the latest weekly ROM.
Glad it worked. :)

Now it's another issue about "Format Data" in TWRP on some recent devices, that doesn't fully format the Data partition...

Best solution is to boot the stock recovery (Mi Recovery) then use the "Wipe Data" option, it will fix boot issue. ;)
