When I try to record in slow motion, it makes it in fast motion instead of slow motion.

What language you're using? It's just a mistake in MIUI translation.

As far as I remember the graphic here is wrong. Also in Mi2 those options were switched.

Currently Mi3W can record only Time-lapse movies but not slow motion with high FPS.

You're right it's a translation issue, the function is called "fast mode" in english. @cpasbien could you correct it in the next french release? Many thanks for this.

Sorry for the post @cpasbien, translation is good. Seems to be an Mi3 wcdma hardware issue. Thanks for the link to your git.

Wha? Hardware issue? C'mon guys...
English translation says its "Slow" recording right? Its because "Slow" is a png. A graphic. Not a translation in text.
<string name="pref_video_slow_speed_title_simple_mode">Slow-motion</string>

And do you see Slow motion here? Its TimeLape! Not a Slow motion.
Slow motion video is recording with Higher FPS than usual. In normal video you record 25FPS. But in slowmotion you record 60/90/120 FPS. Then if you play this video it will be slowed down because of more frames recorded in every second.

But MI3 doesnt have Slow motion recording. MI2 has. MI3 doesnt. We have Time Lapse here.
So we record slow moving objects like clouds or sun sets. Time Lapse movie takes 1 hour or more of recording.
Then the phone plays it back for you with shortened time. So you record 1h video but the playback takes 10 minutes. In effect everything is speed up. Thats TimeLapse.

This translation is wrong as I said before.
See mine translation:
https://github.com/Acid-miuipolskap...e/cancro/Camera.apk/res/values-pl/strings.xml
<string name="pref_video_slow_speed_title_simple_mode">Time Lapse</string>

Its Time Lapse not Slow motion.

@Acid thanks for sharing this definitions now i can understand this photo mode. But why when I choose English language which is officially integrated in MIUI this function is called "fast motion"? In fact, using "hardware issue" in my previous post wasn't accurate it will be better if I said "hardware limitation".

Because it IS a fast motion! Just record some clouds for 30 minutes and you will see why it's called fast motion. And take into account that this is translated by Chinese. Chinese. They don't speak English natively and their English translation is just... poor.
