Mi8 notification and Status bar

Is this something that will potentially be fixed in the next Stable version?

I don't feel confident enough using Magisk etc, plus it doesn't seem to solve it for everyone on here.

Link does not work

The notifications can be enabled if you flash the mod.

I get the notifications in the status bar as well as the lock screen and it's all good.
