Ofcourse it will consume twice as much battery. Your battery life will be half of what it was. It's only normal. But that gives you the battery life of a normal phone. The whole reason why they made the battery so big.
jk. Should be hardly any more consumption than not using the feature. I would be surprised if it would be more than 5% extra battery consumption
