I never figured out how it is done, if possible, getting a system update / OTA, other than using ROM Manager. Is there a script that needs to be edited for the device to find the update rather than downloading it from the site or using the same ROM Manager?

PS. I want to accomplish this with a Galaxy Nexus.

The native OTA requires us to fill in 120 input boxes (and growing with more devices). Then after we do that and issue a device OTA. 100,000 devices get it, and prompt to download a new version.

Our server infrastructure just isn't ready for the mass downloads.
