MIUI Task Killer & Widgets (Background Tasks)

It seems like the built-in task killer / task cleaner kills all non-system tasks, even those of widgets that may be running in the background, such as weather/clock widgets.

I understand that you can "lock" an app by swiping it down in the popup task killer window, but how do you lock a widget?

I'm having the same problem here, any ideas to solve it?
