[MOD] Sound Effect for Miui V5 ( DSPmanager & Viper4android )


Ok... Everything downloaded and in place. But I am facing a problem now. When I open Viper4android from the app drawer, I get this...

And if I click on yes...

I have tried different options, and reboot, but I keep getting this message every time I open the app. How did you guys do it?

Just updated page one
First uninstall V4a, then try install again and choose driver cortexAx with neon

There more options to try and include boosting for phone speakers too
I use earphone urbeats dr.Dre

I've got a problem with DSPManager: when I restart my mi2s, I loose volume boost (DSPManager is active but volume is low and I have to disable and reenable). In addition, I loose volume boost randomly: it seems it deactivates after some time.

I also installed ViPER4Android_FX XHiFi and I have phone speaker settings too... But how to configure it? I have no clue of what parameters mean...

Can you help me?

It's never recomended to use more than one Music Efect on your Android, by default you have the MusicFX with Dobly, but ViPER can work, but sometimes it crash, lose priority etc. You should erase the MusicFX and dobly to avoid this issues with a file manager that has root privileges like Root Explorer

Anyway, is there anyone who has advised settings for XHiFi, I'm interested into headphone and phone speaker tuning. Thanks
 
I have a problem with DSP Manager. When I listen to music via my earphones, there's a break after a while and the sound gets really bad, like through a can. When I unplug, replug and restart my music player (mort player) it's ok again.
 
Hello, is that the mod is uninstallable so settings that resets ?

I tried to instal these apk, but I don't work...
1) DspManager
I don't know how to do this step :
3. Copy DspManager.apk to system/app and set permission rw-r-r
4. Copy and overwrite audio-effects.conf to system/etc set permission rw-r-r
5. Copy libcyanogen-dsp.so to system/lib/SoundFX set permission to rw-r-r

2) Viper4android XHiFi / Viper4android FX
I have downloaded both apks, but it does't work too...
it do same thing like as user Imontoya
if I uninstall V4a and then try install again and choose driver cortexAx with neon it does same thing.

can sombody help me please ? :)

This thread and the installation modes are discontinued.

If you wanna install Viper try Google it in his original post at XDA's forum to up-to-date method.
(hint: our Mi-2 processor it's CortexA8 with NEON);)
 
i would like to know one thing concerning this mod
it works to increase the volume power / gain during a standard phone call ??

maybe with headset or loud speaker, don't think with normal call

It's wonderful, lovely powerful sound! I'm using the official up to date apk though. A little bit OOT, how can I open "music effects control panel" as in the 1st page screenshot?
 
Hi all,
I'm on Xiaomi mi-2s my ringer volume or to be axact the volume of the rear speker is awful .
Occasionally i miss incoming calls because i just do not hear my phone ringing :)
I installed W4A Fix now i'm not sure how to set it up.
I whould appreciate if someone can uppload a screenshot with the best setting for W4A Fix , i hope this mode is realy as good as everybody say it is.
 
I've used DSP manager in my old i9000 in SlimKAT, and it had more choices than the one shared here. I think it is a bit old one. Can we use this one instead? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2559041)

Its size is also bigger than the one shared here... But it says that it can run on stock 4.3, which is also JB, as in Mi2s (4.1.1)

Can anyone try and tell whether it will work or not?
 
I tried to use this DSPManager but now my dolby digital plus is broken, I can't activate it.

any ideas how to fix this?

I am on WIUI 4.4.11
