Model Naming

does anyone know what are the letters in the model names stand for? what i came to is the following:

redmi = phone and internal pieces all manufactured in china so very cheap
s = for Singapore market
i = for India market
c = for China market

is this correct?

I: Only one, the Mi 4i, when Xiaomi went to India.
I think X refers to the processor (an Helio X...)
