Trying to work out if the Note will be good enough for GPS before I buy it.

I think GLONASS support would help a lot here. There seems to be some confusion if the note has this support.

Could you download/start the GPS Test app and see if there are any satellites in the 65-96 range?
Would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Mediatek phones don't support GOLNASS! Just Qualcom ones... So RedMi 1s does and all others...

I had all 3 redmi phones for short period (my new note is on its way) so I did test it and not glonass support on redmi 1 and note, but 1s has it. In GPS test glonass sattelites are marked differently (light colour) so I know what I'm talking about. Sorry for not being able to post screenshot, but will if someone else doesn't when my note arrives (in the middle of the week...)

Screen shot would be super... Thanks for your info.

I thought that but if you look here it states GLONASS...

Also a review of this on youtube by jtgeek, also states that it has GLONASS support...

Can someone test this with a Note please? Would be super if you could...

Redmi note wcdma 2Gb ram, not yet support glonass, i have test my redmi note. This my screen capture while testing redmi note. If it support glonas, it will show russian flag on some channel of satellite.
