When the list of latest notes appears in the icon, notes which have been deleted continue to appear in the list.

... and when you re-boot, the list disappears until you edit a note - then the list re-appears in the icon.

It seems there is no callback for deletion to the active xml dynamic icon, thus never triggers the removal of deleted notes.
