Ok Google can not be activated on Mi 8 EE with latest Xiaomi.eu ROM

Hi

Since right from the beginning I can not activate the "ok Google" command in Google Assistant on my Mi8 explorer.

Any idea what I need to change to get it running?

Same here. I think it's a bug, i heard that in Mi 8 standard now it's working perfectly.

OK Google isn't supported on China ROMs based on Android Pie, specifically on Snapdragon 845. We don't know why, we only know that it's hardcoded in the audio driver. We can't fix it for MI8EE since there is no Global ROM for this device to obtain a proper audio driver with OK Google support (like we did for MIMix2S, MI8 and MI8Pro).

We don't. We introduce such "hacks" on Weekly only.

So in simply worlds no official support for voice match? Is there anywhere information why this feature is not supported on eu rom version? While it was ok on global?

Your comparison to Global ROM is invalid. We use China ROM as base, and it's not supported on China ROM. There is no information about it.
