Install a custom Recovery
Wipe data
Flash Zip files
Install custom recovery
Windows: Adb and Fastboot (placed on %PATH%)
Unix / Linux: Adb and Fastboot, need to execute some commands with SUDO, so an user-password is needed, do not execute as root
Windows
- Download the Zip file
- Extract the folder
- Make sure ADB and Fastboot are working well on your device and they're both on a %PATH% (C:WindowsSystem32 for example) folder
- Run XiaomiTool.exe and enjoy
Linux
- Download the zip file
- Extract everything in a folder
- chmod +x XiaomiTool or run sh XiaomiTool (The one on the main dir)
- Insert your password when asked (see here why it's needed)
Unix
- Download the zip file
- Extract the folder
- chmod +x Start.sh
- Execute Start ( ./Start.sh )
- >> If something goes wrong make sure you can execute adb and fastboot without root access, if not run sudo ./Start
Which one should I choose?
> Windows : it works on all windows-powered Pcs and on Wine, it only needs adb and fastboot
> Linux : if you're running a debian-based distro
> Unix : (mac) os X, *bsd and it may also be good on other linux distros where the linux one does not work (well)

does that means that there's going to be a custom recovery for the Mi3w as well ?

does this toolkit works for MI3W? because in http://ionolinuxnoparty.github.io/ariestoolkit/ it only says for MI2
thank you
No nono....will it be possible to flash the recovery via the fastboot without putting the file directly on the storage of the phone?
i've kinda killed mine with the exposed installer for the MIUI, and i can't access to anything on it...
will i be able to mount the internal storage via the recovery itself?
