Power saving

I have an m2,can't find on web what exactly the power saving mode does.
Can some please educate me?

Generally it locks CPU at about 918 MHz.

What Acid said; it sets a max limit on your CPU to 918MHz as opposed to the full 1512MHz clock.

Thanks very much, I couldn't find the answer anywhere.
Does it affect any other settings on the phone at all or just cpu?

Just thought, how do you guys know that? ! It's it documented somewhere that I couldn't find?

Probably figured it out by checking the current cpu clock.

Fair enough, just wondered if other things like vibrate and screen were altered.

Screen auto brightness acts differently, vibrating is unmodified.
