any way to force prefer 2g in network settings?

In previos xiaomi terminals with miui i used this app to config this setting. but in mi 11 device this is incompatible. https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/basemobi/4g-lte-switch/

No idea about the app, but you could dial *#*#4636#*#* and in the menu select band mode as "CDMA only" or "GSM only".

Of course this is by far not as convenient as the app, but maybe as a workaround...
