New Problem with picture in picture mode Mi 9T 9.10.24

Very often when I try to activate picture in picture mode with the gesture to go back to the home or the one to enter the recent apps menù, picture in picture mode doen't active, if I try to re-open the app it'll display a black screen and the only way to solve this problem is to close the app and re-open it.
