problems after upgrading to miui 13 /android 12

@jackyle Please describe how you flashed TWRP with your own words.
What exactly did you do? (steps).
Did you change the language to be able to see which buttons you have used?
I haven't heard that TWRP could be damage a phone, except you use a wrong one that doesn't match your device or you installed it to another place as Recovery_Ramdisk.

I changed the twrp long name to twrp.img and put it in the adb file. I connected the phone to my pc in adb mode ,logged off my phone and pushed him to fastboot mode, then i l wrote the command you tolď me and then dark, nothing. I didnt panick,i hold together the power button and the up button and i logged into my phone like nothing happened, but im still on twrp teamwin.

@jackyle So you can still boot the phone to your current TWRP and you are be able also to boot phone into Fastboot mode - only System doesn't start?

ok guys , ive flashed your twrp , but till now the phone is in dark mode and nothing is seen . is dead ! i disconected him from the cable from the pc and nothing
I downloaded TWRP from TeamWin and my device suddenly died after updating to stable 13.0.13 ROM. Same device than you, Mi 11 Pro.
I have noticed that hardbrick can be caused by overheathing. But my device died just after installing TWRP from TeamWin.

But i failed to change the terp and i dont know why
Download this TWRP (same as we told several times before) - direct Link:
https://dl.akr-developers.com/?file=skkk/TWRP/A12/v6.3_A12/[BOOT]3.6.2_12-Mi11Ultra-Mi11Pro_v6.3_A12-star-skkk_122188d9.zip

Unzip it with a program like 7-zip, you need the image file from inside the zip.
Copy the TWRP to your ADB folder, and rename it to twrp (= twrp.img)

Copy the Rom zip file as it is to the internal storage:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...1Ultra_V13.0.13.0.SKACNXM_v13-12.zip/download

Reboot your phone into Fastboot mode, use the command:
fastboot boot twrp.img
Phone should reboot to the new TWRP (let the whole process the USB Cable connected to PC, don't disconnect the cable).
TWRP should start in Chinese Language, change language to your language.

Then go to "install" and choose the Rom zip file from internal storage and confirm flash.
If it's successful without errors, reboot phone to systém.
Let the USB Cable connected until phone is restarted to systém.

This method will install the Rom Update and also automatically TWRP for Android 12 permanently.

@jackyle On this "window" (see Screenshot) - you must use the blue line on the right and move it down - then you will see "Recovery_Ramdisk" (if you want flash TWRP)
You must flash this TWRP to this partition "Recovery_Ramdisk" and not to another place.
Soon it's flashed, go back to the main menu and use "Restart" Tab and select "Recovery"
This will reboot to the fresh installed TWRP.
Then try again to flash the Rom.
By the way - the Screenshot from the TWRP you have posted - this is the right one.

my friend , i did it now what ive done before - flashing the "twrp.img" (your twrp) to the recovery partition which called ramdisk .
then i clicked on the button from the menu- "restart" and then choosed -"recovery" , and i arrived to the same place before and i dont know even if im still on my old or on the new twrp , i took a picture .
after all i choosed the zipfile of the rom , flashed it , but "failed" .
believe im doing well according to your instructions .
according to the pictures ,am i on the new twrp? your twrp?
if yes , why cant i failed in flashing the rom?

Why would you install the twrp?

Flash the Rom and the recovery becomes permanent!

The WhatsApp issue mentioned above is no issue, just grant contacts permission to WhatsApp.

Regards.

Sent from my Mi 11 Ultra.

1. how to grant contacts permission to WhatsApp?
2.i didnt understand why the rom that ive been flashed is failedd? whats the reasson if the flashing is by the new twrp?

@jackyle I don't think it could be the reason.

There's a workaround, posted by @katerpanne here:
https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/howto-install-recovery-image.66211/post-662483

"TWRP update shows ERROR: 1 / can not mount system ...
- this error can occur if you try the update with updater app or if you started TWRP manually
- Solution:
-> while you are in TWRP reboot your device in recovery mode
-> try to install the rom again
-> if it will fail, reboot in recovery again
-> or use "fastboot boot twrp.img" again
-> sometimes you need more then one try
-> if it will not work choose another twrp version"

(reboot Recovery means to restart TWRP Recovery from TWRP "Restart - Recovery")

The last point means, you can try it with one of the the previous version of Android 12 TWRP, for example:
https://dl.akr-developers.com/?file=skkk/TWRP/A12/v6.2_A12/[BOOT]3.6.2_12-Mi11Ultra-Mi11Pro_v6.2_A12-star-skkk_6acd7c92.zip

(You use/have v. 6.3 and this link is v. 6.2 from same TWRP)

And you should check the md5 checksum of the downloaded Rom file. It must match the number, which is written on the download website under "i" (information).
Sometimes downloaded zip files are corrupted.
You can check the zip file for example with 7-zip, right click on the file - check archive file.
If zip file doesn't match the one from the download website, download the Rom again.

actually there are 2 sources for eu stable rom -
DOWNLOAD STABLE MIUI 13.0
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...files/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-STABLE-RELEASES/MIUIv13/
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=331502
im downloading from the both links .
i asume that the 2 sources includes the same rom ,.. maybe im wrong ???
this link is very slow one and it took me over a night to complete the downloading , why is that? maybe its the reasson for the failed rom file???

The second Link is a very wrong ROM file!
It's called "
xiaomi.eu_multi_HMK305G_V13.0.1.0.SGICNXM_v13-12-fastboot.zip and has nothing to do with your device!
Of course, if you try to flash this wrong ROM, it couldn't work!!

You said, you have a Mi 11 Pro - the right Rom name for this device is:
xiaomi.eu_multi_MI11Pro_MI11Ultra_V13.0.13.0.SKACNXM_v13-12.zip

I posted several times the right direct Link to this Rom in this Thread.
It seems to be you are very confused.

Again: if you own really a MI 11 Pro, then the right direct Link is:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...1Ultra_V13.0.13.0.SKACNXM_v13-12.zip/download

my friend , if you click on the second link you arrive to this page - https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=331502
on this page you choose this file - xiaomi.eu_multi_MI11Pro_MI11Ultra_V13.0.13.0.SKACNXM_v13-12.zip
i dont know how you get to a wrong conclusion ...
its obiousslly that you wont choose a file with fastboot when you want to use the twrp ...
in the end , i have in my hands this file of the rom - "xiaomi.eu_multi_MI11Pro_MI11Ultra_V13.0.13.0.SKACNXM_v13-12 " , and right now im waiting for the rom file that going down from this link page - https://sourceforge.net/projects/xiaomi-eu-multilang-miui-roms/reviews/ ...its very slowwwwwwww , but the name of the file is the same like in the other link - "xiaomi.eu_multi_MI11Pro_MI11Ultra_V13.0.13.0.SKACNXM_v13-12"
sooooooooo , the both links page has the same rom . is it matter from where you download it if they are the same???

i think we have here more serious problem then the source of the rom
im waiting for a solution like the others on the other thread
