Hello, I currently have my Poco X5 Pro (redwoodin, MIUI 14, A13) that I'm planning to install Xiaomi.EU + Magisk on.

Now I have two questions:

1. What's the best way to install Magisk with Xiaomi.EU? I will also install PitchBlack recovery which has a Magisk installer built in, but idk if that works.
Do I patch the ROM file or some other way of installing?

2. Are Xiaomi.EU OTA updates compatible with Magisk? Will I have to manually patch every new version and install via recovery? Or does OTA work (and will it keep Magisk installed)?

Thanks for the answers in advance.

Re 2. Xiaomi.eu OTA updates are only possible with an actual compatible recovery. In the OTA process your device will restart to recovery and the ROM will be installed. As Xiaomi.eu ROM updates are always full ROMs you have to install magisk again after ROM installation.

Thanks for the answer, but it still doesn't answer my question fully. Anyone else knows about this?

There is no official Twrp/O.F/etc for this device, so Ota is not possible.
For root, patch the boot.img with the fastboot method.
The root is removed with each update.

I found one in a big telegram group, it seems trusted. People say it's good.

Also do I need to remove root manually before update?
Also how do I reinstall it after update without losing data?
