Hello!

I have a problem with unlocking:
Redmi Note 4
Snapdragon 625
And. 7.0 NRD70M
MIUI Global 11.0.2
kernel: 3.18.31

Phone is registered in Poland (and bought as a new here) but I think it's global version and miflash is telling me that it doesn't match the country where it was sold. Seems that seller/shop bought it outside Poland.

I'd like to upgrade to higher android version, but as far, as I know, it's not possible to do it without unlocking.

I read that there is an option to get unlock, when I ask here.
Is it possible?

Or any other option to upgrade ROM?

Regards,
Marteen

Unlocking the bootloader is a necessary step to install a custom ROM or flash a new version of Android, especially if your device is locked by Xiaomi.

If it is a Global device, maybe on your Xiaomi PC account, the country is China or it is a modified IMEI.

IMEI: 8656840315xxxx

"Thank you for choosing Xiaomi!
However, the device you purchased is not an official global version and user experience may be affected. Next time, please purchase the official global version of the device through officially authorized channels."

But bought in Poland as a new in the shop, i don't know where they get it from - i coudn't and also now can't check it.

Nope.
See my post #3(the link).

For privacy, you should hide the IMEI at the start of your post.
Done, but really - i don't care.
It's neither my "private" (nor primary) phone, and after unlock, I can change it.
No reason to hide, but I do understand legal right, also hidden.
