Redmi Note 9 Fingerprint Sensor

Just bought a new Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 (no 9s or Pro) - the 10 year event. A
It looks like a great phone but I did noticed an issue with the fingerprint sensor.

When I swipe my fingerprint the phone briefly report "unrecognised" but then quickly accepts it and logs in.
On one (banking) app I also get a pop up message:

result Message >>
ok

I've removed and re-entered new fingerprints, but still there...
Anyone else noticed something simillar?

do you move your finger while pressing? AFAIK you are only supposed to either touch or press (depending on the settings).
