Hello to everyone ! I just installed xiaomi.eu rom 12.0.4.0 RJZMIXM on my Redmi Notete 9 Pro EU model. Everything works great and I am very satisfied but I have a problem with one system application an it is a scanner. When I run it the application it just closes and nothing happens,does anyone else have this problem with this model and how to solve it? Thanks in advance.

Same phone, same ROM, all working fine.

If nothing else, installation should check the required permissions to ensure they're intact.

It can also be done via ADB.

Does the phone need to have root privileges to update system apps? Was your phone rooted when you updated using MiXplorer, Sir Buzz?
Installed successfully via adb, however there was no change in appl's behaviour - still crashing
The same thing happens, install the stable version of xiaomi.eu and open the scanner application automatically closes.
Clearly I'm just guessing here because I don't have the same problem, but also try uninstalling it first. It can be done via ADB as well.
If it still doesn't work after that, it's likely not a problem with permissions.
I have finally fixed this problem, however it's worth noting that my flavour of the note9 is curtana (aka Indian note9), not joyeuse (aka Global note9).
Did this by "upgrading/downgrading" ROM: i.e. upgrading to eu.miui 12.0.6.0.QJWMIXM from 12.0.4.0.RJWMIXM, thus downgrading to Android 10.
I don't want to unlock the root of my phone. Is there any other way? If it doesn't exist I hope the developers will fix this bug in the next rom. I use this rom version:

Where is update,give us link ? There is no update for EU model redmi note 9 pro,last is 12.0.4.0.
