Save MMS image to storage

How do I do this?

I received a standard image via MMS. I can open it in the standard gallery or my QuickPic application. Neither of the applications can save nor share the image. Is there any way for me to save the image to storage?

Anybody? Is this considered a bug or just a shortcoming. To me, it's a really obvious feature.

Long press the image in mms app (don't open it), then press the right icon.. voila.

Ah, thanks, that was kind of obvious I was expecting it somewhere when the image is open. Ok... now how do I share it without having to save it first?

Have you figured that one out already? If no, press the left most icon at the bottom.. that's a forward arrow..

That also works for forwarding text messages..

I want to share... not forward... share with ... Facebook, WhatsApp, Gmail, etc.
