New SG-SII music player bug

Any ideas about solving the bug with the SG-SII music player? each time I play a song the device reboots after 10 seconds!

Not that this will help you, but I've tried the music player after the update and don't encounter the bug you describe on my sgs2. Everything works fine, so there might be an other issue in your case. Have you tried reflashing the rom with complete wipes?

OK. I did a full wipe with clearing both cache. It seems mine is also rebooting. So now I will try to install 2.4.13 and then upgrade it to 2.4.20 without wiping date. then I will report.

before installing the 2.4.20 I've had the 2.4.6 installed..so I did a complete wipe, then flashed a 2.4.20 ROM.. I somehow can live with this bug until the next update by using an alternative music player like Winamp

Yes, even after upgrading, Music player still reboots.
Hope they fix it next friday

Yes, it does reboot under 10 seconds of playing music from the player. Actually, the app crashes and phone reboots. Now i'm wondering what could be the problem?
Could it be due to "support background playing of music" update that was done? :/

It could be, after all it's the only meaningful change to the app to cause this..

From my SGSII using TapaTalk2

I thought it was related to the rendering of the album art, but the issue happens even with the album art disabled. I provided logcats of the issue so hopefully they will find something in them.

Apparently, it is already reported upstream (miui.com) and has a lot of replies so we'll see if they can get things fixed for next week. For now I downgraded to 2.4.13, but I did a backup and I'm available to do some more testing if needed.

I don't know if we'll do a mid-week patch, but I'll see. Thanks for the heads up that MIUI pushed a fix.
