Resolved SGS2 - can't update system.

Can't update OTA.from 2.3.23 to 2.3.30 (Menu > Settings > About Phone > System updates)

When i choose Update now, phone reboots but doesn't update the system. It's still 2.3.23

Are you using GB MIUI or ICS MIUI ?

I had the same problem today. I think the OTA update connects to Miuu.com, and not miuiandroid.com.

could you go to CWM and copy the log here?
i could find how to see the log but im sure there is a way...

another thing you could do is to enter in recovery mode and go to "install zip from sdcard" -> "choose zip from sdcard" and choose sdcard -> "downloaded_rom" and here select xxx 2.3.23 - 2.3.30 xxxx.zip

this will show the excact error that is throwing.

Dont install that, get the full rom from our site, that is from the chinese servers what you have there.

I've done what mark suggest.
it's looks like OTA isn't working in the ICS version.

Until ICS is ready and stable I'd recommend against using OTA. There is one ROM per week on Friday. Just make an effort to come here and get the ROM and do it that way.

no you wont - clear dalvik and cache then restore things you need using the miui backup util
