Smart Thermometer/Hydrometer Clock Screen not refreshing properly

Hi guys,

I have the hydrometer/thermometer clock which is connected to the Maja app. It works fine, but the screen seems dark grey and not refreshing properly. Originally it was a beautiful white background and clear text as the e-ink device should have. But not it's like the e-ink display refresh is not happening correctly.

The entire screen is dark grey with visible characters. I have already replaced the batteries with fresh ones thinking that might be the problem, but, no luck.

Any suggestion?

Got the exact same error here, device was about 3 months in use. Seems bricked. Very disappointing.
Unfortunately, I purchased the device via the Amazon marketplace. The seller (SUMALOGS) refuses to repair or replace it as part of its warranty obligation.
Any service from Xiaomi?
