Sms Received Multiple Times

I'm using a Mi5S Plus, running the Xiaomi 8.0.4.0 | Stable ROM - I bought it in HK at Christmas and I'm using it in the UK on Three. I rarely use SMS, but whenever anyone sends me a message, I receive it multiple times - sometimes 7 or 8 times over a couple of hours. Anyone else experienced the same, and have any ideas of solutions? Thanks in advance!

I have used the weekly roms since december but I didnt't experience that.

Yeah, I would try to factory reset, set another messaging app as default (I use YAATA, a really good SMS app), or try Xiaomi.eu rom

I'm not on a ROM from here - just the one that was on there when I bought the phone from Xiaomi in HK. I'm not interested in unlocking / rooting etc. I also installed a separate SMS app when I first got the phone (Google Messenger) and have been using Contacts+, but get the same behaviour in each.

i think this issue is not due to the rom you installed, it could be an issue from your phone operator

I've not installed a ROM. And I've never had this issue with any other phone on my network.
