(SOLVED) Update From Old Rom In Mi4c

So, I just got a very outdated Mi4c from a friend (MIUI 7 6.5.5 ) and I wonder if I should install any specific ROM and TWRP first...or just install the latest TRWP and then straight into the newest MIUI ROM available for this phone?

Hi, so did I with mine, install 6.1.7 I rott with Supersu, I got twrp, download the latest ROM eu, install the rom I go backwards I install Supersu, wipe cache and dalvid reboot sistem and wait aq restart, so until now and without unlocking bootloader, I hope it helps, a greeting

Well ..1st apply for unlocking permission...then update to 6.12.22...once you have done both use the suggestions in this thread to upgrade...your bootloader will be locked after you upgrade...so unlocking is necessary...if you need further help just ask ...
