Stable Or Weekly, Which Do You Use?

I am new to MIUI and am loving my Mi5s on EU ROM. From experience, developer made roms for my nexus phones, the weeklies have been experimental and sometimes have issues. From what i can see, the weeklies are based off of the official xiaomi dev weeklys which sound like they are pretty stable, and are mainly security and bug fixes.

I am currently, on the stable to be safe, but how stable are the weekly roms? I am mainly concerted with my stable being on July security version and not December.

Most of the time the dev roms are stable. 6.12.8 is for example as stable as 8.0.18.0.

Is it safe to flash dev over stable, or would it need a wipe?

I flashed xiaomi.eu dev rom over xiaomi.eu stable rom without wiping.
Try it and if you get issues, you could still wipe.

I am using 6.12.8 after two weeks with the stable release. At this time i didn´t recognize bigger bugs, but the theme store in this version has less categories, it´s not easy to scroll through so many files to find something. Also sometimes the network connection speed seems to be lower.
