Steps to prepare Xiaomi Phone for sale

I've got a Mi Note 10 I'm considering selling and I'd like to know what steps are recommended for sale.

My main concern is how to disassociate the phone from the Mi account so that it isn't locked. Will a factory reset do that?

you have to manually remove the Account in Settings.
Scroll down till you see Mi account and you can log out there.
