I am posting my experience with the phone which I bought for my wife almost 2 years ago. It is a xiaomi mi 4s.
She registered her account at beginning with only the sim card used at that time. No long time back she changed the sim card on the phone and some apps starting to have problems and not correctly working.
I have checked all around try to update the system but cause she has forgotten the password I was not able to get it back and then I decided to go and flash with the latest rom, with the hope that everything was going to be reset.
Now I have a phone useless, with miui 9 ( latest chinise/english version ) I guess and, stuck in the welcoming messages, where there is no option for the forget password. I have tried the procedure online to retrieve the old password with no success already.
Do you have any suggestion on this?
