Twitter lag and memory management

I have installed the latest miui 13 rom on my poco x3 nfc and I've noticed twitter has unbearable lag while scrolling compared to the stock global rom. RAM management is also pretty bad. I can at most only have 2-3 apps open until it starts refreshing apps. It isn't like this on the stock global rom so I want to know if there is any fix available.

Yeah, twitter lag is better but it's still there. Memory management is awful and battrry life is horrendous compared to stock global or custom roms.

Oh you tried Global. Does it also suck?
I read somewhere that disabling the uhhh what's it called, "new memory management s**t", helps a lot. Also in games they said. Tried that?
