New Unable to select search result, phone call recordings

I record all of my phone calls. From time to time, I delete most of them. I do a search, for example, for a particular name that I want to delete.
I get the results up, but cannot select any of the results to delete - this is using the long press.
I am not sure when this first started - it could be up to about a month ago.

Yes, i record my phone calls and delete from time to time too. I experience same behavior when i search using the sound recorder app
A workaround is using a file manager (i use solid explorer) and navigate to internal storage > MIUI > sound_recorder > call_rec
Sort by date then Search and delete

Be sure to use any other file manager besides the default.

Edit: this issue seems to go a long way back.
I tried 21.7.21 weekly rom. Same issue

It was a few weeks ago that I last did it.
I tend not to delete them, but move them into the .trash/call_rec folder, and sometimes use Windows Explorer.
