I have a problem with charging on my mi 5 (standard variant).
The issue is that it charges extremely slow. At a rate of around 200 mAh, giving me an estimated charge time of anywhere from 12h to 24h.
I came from the latest stable global Chinese ROM and was facing the same issue. Upon installing MIUI 10 beta ROM from EU the issue still persists.
I have been using 2 different original MIUI cables and 2 types of original adapters, one of which is quickcharge 3.0 compatible.
Below I have attached an image of the slow charge time and screenshot of my general device configuration.
If anyone has any idea of what the solution to my problem is or if they have gone through something similar I am all ears.

- I was searching for answers and maybe i found one. In developer options, the USB configuration seems to be stuck on MTP (media transfer protocol) and does not automatically revert to CHARGING. I am thinking this might be the problem since USB mode the computer only provides a fraction of the power a wall charger can provide. Therefore, this seems to be a software bug.
