I have the Redmi Note 9pro with MIUI by xiaomi.eu 11.0.5
patchlevel 2020-07-01...

This is very old! Is it possible to get new patches without loosing all data? (and: how it is possible?)

You have to make a backup to update to a custom ROM and newer version of the OS since issues can occur.

Yes of course I will make a backup. But is this only for more security or will I definitely lose all data?

- How to update TWRP (link? There is nothing here for Joyeuse).
- How can I update the ROM afterwards? via TWRP or connect phone to PC and then with fastboot?

There are so many, confusing instructions, I do not even know what I have to do....

)) Technically you should...But long story short...It's out...you can download it from the ROM release thread...it's stable 12.2...or 12 I think. It's a nice release ....though no 12.5 yet...it's kinda annoying really.

I dirty flashed it a week ago and everything went ok. Backup important things and just flash it. If something goes wrong ...well... there's always a clean install

It's in the stable ROM releases.... it's the 12.0.1 version. The version number is weird since it seems that you're going back...but it's the new Android 11 version.
