Upgrade Method For Eu Roms

Hello,

I'm new to this forum. Currently I'm using Redmi 4 prime (HM4pro) with weekly build EU ROM (6.12.15). My questions are:

1. if I need to upgrade new build via TWRP, then should I need to wipe system, data, cache etc. once again or just need to wipe cache/dalvik and I can keep data, system intact?
2. When a stable build will be available for my device, Can I upgrade directly to it from Dev build by keeping data? or need to wipe the whole device again and do a fresh installation?

It'd be helpful if anybody can help me here. Thanks.

Yes, a little update doesn't erase your data Just Wipe Cache/Dalvik Cache after.
If you switch on a stable build, you must make a complete Wipe.

When I update the xiaomi.eu version with TWRP then it is like a new installation - correct? So my files, photos etc. are still there but I always have to install my apps again?

No, an update doesn't erase your data.

ok - so in twrp i choose e.g. a weekly build and just install it and my apps and files will still be there.
in twrp there is no update option?
