Hi guys, I have a strange problem with my other Mi 8.
A week ago the screen suddenly turned off while device was still on, so I could connect it to pc and transfer files or listen sound from device. I flashed it through fastboot to stock rom but I didn't solve the problem. After 7 days, the screen turned on and it seems working fine. I think it's not a software problem cause I flashed it, but it can't be a hardware problem cause now it works...
It's a Mi 8 China version, unlocked by unofficial way with global ROM installed: should I unlock it officially? Could be this the problem?
What do you think about? Thank you

To rule out a software bug, I would put the phone completely new. Means mobile to boot into fastboot mode and install the latest tgz file with Miflash. Here a left for the last tgz file. China stable Rome. Don`t close Bootloader !!!!!!! Only select "clean all" in MiFlash to flash the Rom!!!!!!!

Hi mate, thanks for your answer. I did it using global tgz file and it didn't solve the problem. Do you think that it would be different using china one? It's a Mi8 CH version.

Ah ok. If you've already done it, then I think it's a hardware issue, did you install another Rom after installing Global Tgz?

No, but I will try to install china tgz, lock BL, and then unlock it using my account.
When I bought it from Bangg00d, it came already unlocked so I don't know if it could be the problem. I will try :)

I would not do that, it can not be, I also have a China version and have never had any problems. And remember, it's possible that you may have to lock your phone or wait 30 hours before unlocking it with your account. If the problem is not there at the moment, then I would not do anything.

If it's a hardware problem, you can try to provoke it by heating/cooling or shaking it.

If you think it is a hardware problem, send it back to the seller and get a new phone or your money back.

If you can't do that, it could be just the connector ribbon for the screen being poorly connected.
That is easy to fix, but only if you know what you are doing.

Bangg**d told me I have to pay every replacement my Mi 8 needs (screen or motherboard), plus shipping cost.
Atm screen is working but it turns off frequently, so I think the problem isn't screen: maybe connector or motherboard.
What do you suggest me? I could open it.
I googled the problem, and I found only a guy having the same issue, but nobody answered. Here's a screenshot

Well, I would not try opening it myself, as I don't have the experience or the proper tools.

I would try to find some local (unofficial) repair shop with a good reputation, tell them what you think the problem is, and see what they suggest.
