Video Toolbox - Can't play sound with video off. Xiaomi Pad 5

Hi, as title says.
Just got my pad today and can't run vide with sound only. Video won't turn off as the option is missing! See screenshot.
Please help.

We don't support any Mi Pads, so you're unlikely to get any answer here. Try the official Mi Community.

while I don't know how to solve (you should ask the actual Xiaomi community) I froze updates on my Pad 5 some time back as the next ones looked like a serious downgrade.

I know this doesn't help you, and I am not sure of a method to downgrade a Mi Pad, but it would not surprise me if it is the official firmware
