Voice Volume really low during calls. Anything to do?

Model: Mi-2s
Android Ver: 4.1.1 JRO03L
Miui Ver: MIUI-3.5.3
Kernel Ver: 3.4.0-g52db9c3-00999-gb9e0bfb

I've gain it to the max through:
Setting--> Sound--> Volumes--> Voice Volume

When I hear it inside the system (as mentioned above), the ear speaker sound high enough (I'm repeating: not ringtone speaker, the ear speaker) - So it's got to be some software issue isn't?

This link holds the latest version: MIUI v5 BETA 3.5.4

There is no mentioning of fixing voice\sound problem in this Rom version.
I don't want to start put every new ROM there is, without reasonable cause

Is there any evidence it will fix the ear's speaker low voice problem?
