vpn problem with kitkat.

I updated my mi3 to kitkat, and now i have a problem with setting up a vpn connection this would be a problem with android 4.4
Is there a solution for this problem?

I tried some piece of software that was provided by the manufacturer of my DSL-modem/AP (FritzBox 7390) which "just works" from everywhere in the world, except from China. So I will give OpenVPN a chance and try it out when I am back in China. Thanks for the reply!
