Wallet-Google Pay alternative

Or using your smartwatch too. I started to using my Samsung watch for NFC payments, with the Google pay wallet, since banning root phones. I will keep my rooted phone forever. F***k Google! I wont give up!

I read about Curve Pay here for the first time and installed it two days ago.
Today, I used it to pay at the supermarket for the first time. It worked perfectly. I have a Mi 11 Ultra with xiaomie.eu and live in Germany.
I'm excited to see what other experiences I'll have with it. But so far, it looks like a real alternative to Google Wallet.

Thanks for this info.. So can someone have the xiaomi.eu rom (stable) with no extra 'mods' or settings and just install Curvepay to have payments? Does it work like google wallet? I mean you add your card and contiue?

Exactly. I've installed Curve Pay, added a card and then I could pay the same way as with Google Waöllet.

No, it's not the same way, if it doesn't count as using the saved credit card for the payment. Banks often offer benefits for using their card.
But isn't that complaining on a very high level?
GPay no longer works on my Xiaomi, but I can pay via Curve Pay Wallet and Paypal Wallet, and the differences to GPay are minor. Since I still have an account with Openbank, I can even use their wallet, giving me three options to be independent of GPay.
I recently got the PAGOPACE smart ring with NFC payment functionality. It works best with Curve Pay.
In my area, people are familiar with payments via smartphone or smartwatch, but the ring often elicits incredulous amazement

That depends. My only reason to use NFC pay, is that I have a virtual card and want to use it for payment to get the cashback. It's a good amount of money piling up. WIthout NFC pay I just put my credit card on the back of my phone case and literally do the exact same thing as with gpay. So I never had a benefit beyond being able to use my virtual card with cashback.But isn't that complaining on a very high level?

The ring is a nice idea. Smart watches can independently run the gpay app. Do you know if the ring would also be able to do that, or does it just "stream" the payment to/from your xiaomi (in which case it wouldn't work)?
The ring is a very simple design: it has an NFC chip inside on which you can store your credit card details. You can transfer your credit card details to the ring using your smartphone. This means that the ring does not run any apps and does not need to be connected to an app on a smartphone. The advantage is that the ring works purely passively and therefore does not need a battery.
On the other hand, the ring cannot be used for anything other than making payments. Unless you own a Tesla, in which case you can also use it as a car key.

If Google Wallet is blocking you, it's often easier to use an app from your bank with built-in NFC payments. These apps are less restrictive, don't check the system status as much, and will bypass Google Wallet's limitations.
