New Waze Crashing Since Miui 9.3 8.2.1

On a Mi Mix 2 whenever I start Waze it says
Unfortunately Waze has stopped.

Send bug regport to Mi for analysis? ...

So I have sent the bug report.

I updated from 7.12.28,. where there was no problem. I have tried clearing the Waze cache but this does not help. Any ideas?
