How often is the Weather app auto updating? It seems pretty rare to me

I think only when you launch it, or at night - when you check "Update at night automatically" in the app's settings.

I'm using GeometricWeather from GitHub. Open source, no ads, no trackers and better than most commercial apps incl. offical weather warnings . App even works in China.

I like Flowx, very professional, you can choose between many weather data providers.
