Optimized Battery consumption

This one is interesting, can anyone confirm that MIUI EU gives better battery life?

There was a recent review of Xiaomi Mi 5s on GSM arena and it seems that although it has larger battery, it gives lower battery life compared to review of Xiaomi Mi 5... Is this due to bad MIUI 8 optimization?

Would this be any better with the EU version?
