Why avaible ram never increase above 1 gb? Even when all apps are closed. Also looked at running apps not >300mb.

I too have a problem with available ram. I often exit my browser or a game and have to wait for the interface to load. Not good when the device says it has 2GB 
They need to fix whatever is taking up that 1GB as like Mahe said you can never free it up. Hopefully it should be fixed with v6
The only worry I have with this machine is that we are already behind with the graphics driver. Nvidia has released a newer version which the Shield has - will we see it?
